The Eighth China Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival is to be held from 22nd to 26^th of October in 2010 in Zhengzhou City.

Since 1991, China Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival has been successfully held for seven times and World Traditional Wushu Festival for tow times in Zhengzhou City. The festivals played an important role not only in both raising awareness of Zhengzhou City and promoting the popularization of the traditional martial arts in the world, but also in promoting and strengthening the communication and cooperation of martial arts among the various countries and regions in the world.

According to preliminary arrangements, The Eighth Shaolin Martial Arts Festival is to be held from the22nd to the 26^th of October. General Administration of Sports of China and People's Government of Henan Province will host this festival which will be undertaken by Chinese Wushu Association, General Administration of Sport of Henan Province and People’s Government of Zhengzhou City. It is understood that they will invite the martial arts groups at home and abroad to attend this martial arts festival. During the Wushu Festival, a opening ceremony and large-scale Entertainment Program will be held to fully display the unique charm of martial arts culture.
